An Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) is provided by TA2 in addition to one provided in partnership with JumpStart, Inc. An EIR is available to portfolio companies throughout their entire association with TA2.
Retired from Diebold Incorporated, in 2013, after 35 years of service. Diebold is a leading provider of self-service and security solutions for financial institutions across the globe.
Last position held, was Executive Vice President – North American Operations. Responsibilities included leading the company’s financial self-service, security and integrated services businesses. The North American Operations accounted for $1.5 billion in revenue, and over 6,000 associates.
Other Diebold experience included Senior Vice President, leading the global software, product and services research & development organization, along with global marketing and product management. Gained valuable experience in the financial discipline as Vice President – Corporate Controller, and Divisional Controller throughout my career.
Earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University, Berea, Ohio, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio. Currently serving as a board member for The University of Akron, Dean’s Advancement Board, “Arts in Stark” board, and the United Way of Greater Stark County’s Education Impact Council. I served for 3 years on the advisory board of Kent State University’s College of Technology.
Married – Two grown children – Reside in North Canton, Oh.
David Bucci leads a consulting practice that specializes in driving improvement in sales, services and marketing practices. His practice works closely with customers in helping them develop deep understanding of markets and customers. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Dave was a senior executive and elected corporate officer at Diebold, Inc, a NYSE company with annual sales of $3B, where he was responsible for its Sales, Service and Consulting Operations in North America. Dave led a 6,000-person organization that generated in excess of $1.3B in revenue.
After earning an undergraduate degree in Education from Boston College, and completing all of his course work for a Masters in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Dave joined Diebold as a sales associate. Following a highly successful 13-year career as a sales representative and Midwest Sales Team leader, he moved into the corporate headquarters as a Marketing Manager. Shortly thereafter, Dave was also assigned to the M & A team acquiring IBM’s self-service business.
Promoted to Director of Marketing for Interbold (a joint venture between Diebold and IBM); and then to Vice-President of Major Accounts focusing on the largest banks and financial institutions in North America, Dave’s efforts were critical to Diebold as it significantly grew its North American revenue and battled increasingly formidable competition. The company acknowledged Dave’s progressively more valuable contributions to Diebold’s stakeholders by promoting him to VP of the Eastern Division and then to Group Vice-President of North American, Sales & Service, and a member of the executive team. Dave was put up for election as a corporate officer where he won election, and maintained that status until his recent retirement.
In 2001 Dave was elevated to Senior Vice-President; in addition to responsibility for the Sales and Service groups he took on the responsibility of Diebold’s Integrated Services, which quickly became the fastest growing segment in Diebold’s business portfolio. His experience in leading a comprehensive integrated and consulting services organization rounds out Dave’s proven and successful experience in all areas of leadership, organizational optimization, strategic planning and execution.
