ALLIANCE OHIO: May 15, 2012: The Technology Accelerator Alliance (TA2), the new hi-tech business incubator/accelerator in Alliance, Ohio has announced the launching of its new website at www.techalliance2.com while also securing its first portfolio technology company AMVONET, (www.amvonet.com).
TA2 is a collaborated effort between the City of Alliance, the University of Mount Union, and the Alliance Area Development Foundation. Housed on the campus of the University of Mount Union TA2 was launched this past January with a mission to bring together technology innovators, launch their ideas, and accelerate their companies within Alliance, Ohio. The new website will serve to continually update the public as to the activity surrounding the initiative by permitting them to follow TA2 by clicking the news feed icon from the home page. People can also follow via Facebook or Twitter by clicking their respective icons. “It will take some time to develop but since the City of Alliance is a big partner we encourage the public to follow our progress,” stated Brad Myers, the new Chief Executive of TA2. “We soon will launch our LinkedIn page as well,” Myers added.
TA2 also has also secured its first portfolio company, AMVONET, a local early stage group in Alliance, Ohio. “It was a perfect fit,” said Myers. “The partners of the TA2 initiative saw the value of launching a business incubator/accelerator in Alliance, Ohio and we immediately capitalized on securing the only known local technology company.”
AMVONET is a 21st century e-learning technology platform that provides educational institutions and business customers an affordable, interactive, digital tool to support advanced online education and training. Application of such tools will drive down cost surrounding ongoing education and training requirements while increasing productivity, security, and availability of all aspects of the process through a web based technology platform. “This company has a world-class technology and it’s right here in Alliance, Ohio,” Myers asserts. Although AMVONET has been around for a number of years its association with TA2 will assist them in future business acceleration. AMVONET CEO Vadim Eelen stated, “This partnership with TA2 not only will benefit our company but also permit us to bring value to the new TA2 initiative by providing our technology expertise to future TA2 companies. It just made sense,” concluded Eelen.
